Water Under the Bear River Bridge
A second-story view of a Bear River Cherry Carnival parade from one side of the village to the other, and from Digby County to Annapolis County at the same time. Tied up down stream from the bridge, the ship is proof the river was still being dredged for commercial traffic.
A view of another Cherry Carnival of the period, this one from below the Bear River Bridge. In the upper left hand corner of the picture is the house from which the previous image was captured.
Bustling Bear River waterfront, circa early 1920s.
