Dating from 1862, this Italianate showpiece has its back to the North Mountain and an elevated view of Annapolis Royal across the river.

Granville Ferry’s merchant class left as its legacy beautiful homes, in a range of styles.

A classic take on the New England Colonial style, from 1827. Originally a licensed inn, it was built by the Hall brothers.

Oral tradition has it that the short-lived pony express (1849) used the inn as a place to change horses by riders carrying news from Halifax to Victoria Beach, Annapolis County, where a ship would carry it across the Bay to Saint John where it would be telegraphed to New York.
